rubber boat gunnel
Boat Gunnel Replacement?
I would like to replace the rubber molding and metal trim around the rim of my glass Spar in 1969. Any help or information about which parts get would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I love the other answers, but there must be a reason that your molding problems, other than the fact that it is 35 years old. I suggest that all of molding, and fill all holes and re-fiberglass resin and if necessary, when you trim and moldings in hand to add a final gel coat and clip the trim and molding in place (while the gel is just a little "Tacky"). After the last gel hardens, (and while still clamped, re-drill the holes for that fasteners and re-attach. Wait about one days then take the clamps off and see your beautiful work. Then sand and buff as needed to the showroom look.
