How do I replace the boot in my I / O boat?

I have an OMC I / O engine in my boat, the rubber seal where the drive exits the hull is cracked and needs be replaced. Is there a workaround?, If not what is involved in replacing it? Engine and outdrive on a 22 '1981 Crestliner. I do not know the model, but sure someone will tell me where / what to look for. Engine is marked OMC230 Because I seem to get conflicting answers, I extended the question

You can Stringer mount on your boat with out taking everything apart. Run-down drive all screws and remove the ring. Then pull back the boot / ring and you can access the main terminal clamp.Once run the disk to back up the middle and start to boot up and pull on the drive. Sometimes a litle spray WD40 in tight areas and make it easier sliding. It is a tight fit, but it comes back and goes on to take everything apart. Once on the use Life Caulk to seal the perimeter around the boat and screw holes to help seal. Dont use silicone it doesn't good job white rubber
