Chevrolet HHR or Pontiac Vibe?
Looking to buy cheap, sports car, so I loaded it up with gear / toys for my outdoor interests. Any reccomendations? Need fuel, fun to drive and decent storage for camping, cycling, skiing, kayaking.
If you are limiting your choices to those 2, Vibe is better in reliability, owner satisfaction, and fuel efficiency. Despite the 2008 model year, Pontiac Vibe and Toyota Matrix are the same vehicle. Toyota actually makes the engine in Vibe. Matrix is a bit cheaper (for some reason), and it will hold its value better. also check out Mazda 3 hatchback. I think it looks better, than the Vibe or Matrix, and also has high reliability, fuel mileage, and resale. If you buy a home, also consider PT Cruiser. It's better than the HHR, but the atmosphere is still the best home hatchbacks in my opinion. If you are willing to sacrifice some fuel, see the Honda Element SUV. It is the perfect outdoor vehicle and you will be about 24 mpg overall (22 if you get AWD).
