Do not be one of the visitors, who missed South Stradbroke Island Gold Coast in your itinerary.

You can make your trip to South Stradbroke in half or full day trip. Or to the next Gold Coast holiday on this unique island Queensland. South Stradbroke is a very different style of holiday hustle and bustle of Surfers Paradise location.

When I first came to the Gold Coast, I I visit South Stradbroke, but it was not high on my list. Surely he could not imagine why anyone would want to spend the your vacation.

All that changed when I finally arrived at the south across the Stradbroke. Now I have a full transfer! All day or half-day trip, it's great if that's all you have time, but South Stradbroke definitely worth considered as a great place to stay in Gold Coast.

So what South Stradbroke, and South Straddie, offering daily tourist or visitor?

Firstly, South Stradbroke is absolutely wonderful to visit, whatever the season. The island itself is quite Small is only about 22kms long and 2.5kms wide, but there is so much work and experience. Alternatively, you can just chill out in one of three island resorts.

South Stradbroke Island Gold Coast hugs the mainland for Runaway Bay on the south to north Jacobs I was in the north. Barrier island are the Gold Coast Broadwater and Coral Sea.

South Stradbroke Island is an island of sand, which was once connected to North Stradbroke Island close sand wall. This wall was finally penetrated the ocean through a combination of explosions from the wreckage, local rum, pillaging, which apparently reduced the sand dunes to looting easier and rough seas over the last few years, the 19th century.

The corridor is now known as Jumpinpin Channel and is considered very treacherous to cross experienced sailors and local residents.

Sand Island supports the sand dunes, subtropical rainforest and is the only place where he lives Golden Kangaroo.

So what is it that I love?

South Stradbroke Island has the advantages of a long deserted stretch of pristine ocean beaches, calm water playground for boating, jet skiing, sailing, kayaking and other water sports, estuaries fishing, sea fishing, bushwalking and camping.

The summer is a wonderful retreat from the bustle of Gold Coast, in winter you can still enjoy all water sports and also get the opportunity to place a large hump back whales from the beach! From leisurely walks along beach, to keep kids entertained, the island caters for all ages and tastes.

It's a place where they actually relax and enjoy the convenience of modern living and is surrounded by the beauty of nature 'at its best. Most South Stradbroke Island is a conservation park designed to protect the island from more than the market. This means that it is now, and remains an excellent retreat from fast lane Gold Coast! The island has many accommodation, but it is limited and of varying quality.
