Is it safe to kayak alone without a guide in Lake Powell and explore canyons. I'm afraid I have lost. ?

If you go along you will need some essential safety requirements which include:-flare gun / flare * Wild Whistle-*- VHF Radio (Channel 16 for emergencies) *- flash of light * A-GPS-Map for the water you dont have all these things, but they can be fully help in emergencies. For fear that it will be lost, set the float plan before depart indicates what gender you are, your name, the Kayak model, and the timeframe you expect to return. GPS is optional, and you cam do without, but I suggest that everything else is essential to such a lonely trip to the Great Lakes, including those I * made from. They arent very expensive and can really throw. Strobe lights and flares are best saved for the night. VHF radio is great to communicate with other ships and coastguard your situation.
