Golf in Whistler, BC in the winter?
I am 17 years old learning to be for golf. Love snowboarding, whitewater water kayaking, and almost all sports known to man, especially those of high adventure. I LOVE Canada and plan on moving there a few years after school is over, but must be able to play golf, or at least practice throughout the year. Certainly there will be snow in winter, but there is a chance that the place or even NEAR Whistler to play or practice facility all year round? I know that Jack Nicklaus North The course, which looks great, anyone know if it gets completely unplayable in winter? These may sound like stupid questions, but I I'm from the area (I'm from Australia) and the need for as much help as I can get. Your help would be very much appreciated! Thanks.
Nicholas North is closed now. Likely to re-open sometime in April depending on weather. Most courses and around greater Vancouver are open, even if they differ from year to year whether they need to close or not. Basically - no snow means the course is likely to be open. If it snows, Then, of course, the course is closed. Here in Victoria, where I live, none of the courses are scheduled closure period. All depends the weather. Frequent delays in the frost begins at 12:00 noon shotgun.
