Upgrade to the Pelican Power 100 or Old Town Otter Kayak?
I have been in a kayak Sevylor Tahiti Classic, but eventually got sick inflatable and have decided to get into Hardshell kayaks. I was looking at the Old Town or Otter Pelican Output 100 probably several months. Since I am a student with a small budget, is one of those good kayak to start with? They cost around 240-270 U.S. dollars. which one should I? Any comments or ideas? Reviews of this kayak? thanks ~!
I certainly would get the Otter Pelican ship every day ... Saw I have too many bad Pelicans with oil-canning hulls. Old Town plastic boats are much more durable and solid. That were told that if you are on calm inland waters, you can look a little more pleasure boat too much. Otters are fun for poking around in tight places, but they are shorter and wider, not slip damn much. Depending on where you are on, I'd check Craigslist and Ebay. You should be able to obtain a longer boat, which is used and still remain within its budget.
