Kayak paddle preferable to carbon or fiberglass shaft?
Getting a new paddle for kayak sit on top. Is better get carbon or fiberglass shaft? Any brand you want the best for the least amount of money?
About The only disadvantage is that the carbon costs more, so if you can afford it, why not get. But yourself a favor and make sure you paddle, it is the right size and shape for you, your boat, and the type of paddling you do. Otherwise all materials fantasy world will not help. Go kayaking to visit local shops, get some good advice, and many demo paddles, as you can. As for brands, you can not go wrong with Werner. I also was a big fan of Lendal, but I've heard of several production problems because the company changed hands a year or two ago.
