Windsurfing, kitesurfing and kayaking?
I'm really starting to itch for extreme water sports (no fishing lol) and I ran into windsurfing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, and kayaking. Just so you know where I start, I was in South Florida Miami, where winds usually do not blow very (but from the vids on Youtube, people are able to do above), but I was woundering what is best to get to the best price, and what I could pay for all? From what I read Kite: $ $ $ = Kite, $ = Council Wind: $ = Sail, $ $ $ = Council and I saw Windsurfing packages like $ 1500 and Kitesurfing kites as a $ 900 no meals! Can I get into any of these are like $ 1000 and build on what I , through the peices of the old equipment? Is there anything cheaper? Or should I stay with Canoe ($ 250 for one I'm looking at)?
No, it's like paddling a canoe. Kayak Paddle is a long pole with a blade at both ends, offset 90 degrees from each other (so if one blade is lying flat, the other will stand vertically). I believe that the standard way is to grab a paddle paddling with both hands wide apart (at least shoulder width), one blade sweep back into the water with the blade oriented perpendicular light to the direction of movement, then bring it back up, then turn the paddle using the 'control arm' (presumably the right hand), so other blade is perpendicular to the direction of movement, sweep it back across the water, turn the paddle BACK, repeat.
