Carolina Pygmy Rattlesnakes in Colleton Co., South Carolina?
I am a herpetologist from Kentucky and I'm taking a trip to Colleton Co., South Carolina this weekend. wondering if anyone knows of a population of Carolina Pygmy Rattlesnakes and Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes near there. We kayaking on the Edisto River, and I'm very interested in photographing them in the wild. Thanks to information anyone can give.
I would wander away from the Edisto these two species of rattlesnakes found. The pygmies are more difficult to find than the EDR. you'll usually find the pygmies in the dense forest and EDS in the open air.
