When a cigarette dropped into an inflatable boat made of 23 gauge PVC, it would burn fast enough to leak?
I and my friends are planning on buying of a boat and an inflatable, a cheaper and easier to transport. My friend is afraid that if he was a cigarette in the boat it will cause a leak drops. Could a burning cigarette burning a hole in 23 gauge PVC in less than a few seconds? temperature of a burning cigarette between 400 and 580 degrees Celsius. The melting point of PVC is 80 degrees Celsius
The floor is not hold air, but the water could leak if it sat there for about 20 seconds. The sides are tubular and hold air, but because of their shape a cigarette would fall immediately
