5m dinghy?
Im asking this for my cousin whos computers downstairs. He just gets a 5 meter long inflatable boat (RIB..?) And a little help. He, s looking to buy a repair kit, although it just OK. Glue to repair the tape that runs around the sides protecting it, and above all, neat paint suitable for the whole matter before use. Any information would be greatly appreciated as I cannot find anything online. Thanks ..!
You can repair kits at West Marine, Boaters World and the manufacturer. You have to know the material of construction for all the right glue. Most RIB tubes are made of either PVC or Hypalon and each requires a special adhesive. Repairs are relatively simple, Just be careful about the instructions. Again, finding the mat'l of the building will determine which paints are compatible. I've never seen a RIB that is "painted" except the bottom with anti-fouling paint if the color is in the tube tissue.
