Rigid Inflatable Boats .. advice? How seaworthy is she?
I would like to get a Rigid Inflatable and need some advice. I want one with a center console and small small enough to fit in a garage (with trailer). What should I look for when buying? Can I use a decent one for under 4k? What can I realistically do? I am looking to cruise the coast here in Southern California. Any advice?
I used to sell inflatable boats and I can compete with anyone said anything about the seaworthiness of a RIB and the fact that Zodiac has major problems .... they used a PVC fabric, the seams that had come apart and fall mirror. Presumably these problems in the past I ........ Avon RIB older one that I just love, unfortunately Zodiac Avon bought a while back and they just are not the same. Caribe AB and repair of boats, and Brig, which is a bit difficult found. Buy a boat made of Hypalon, PVC NOT! Minimum size for a console 12 feet, bigger is better. You could get a boat for under 4K ..... but not with an engine! As You buy a "Big Box" marine store, check to see who makes the 'home brand'
