How do I replace the foam in the ends of the canoe?
I got an old aluminum canoe, which was delivered to me. It was in storage at quite a few years and mice chewed styrofoam ends of a canoe. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I do replace the foam? I would say that there is something I had an injection to the end. Plates covering each end are welded in place, but there are gaps got through the mouse. I was even thinking about drilling holes where necessary. Does anyone have a similar situation as you s handle it?
You can buy spray expanding foam from most home improvement stores supply and storage vessels. This is for sealing cracks and holes around your house, but it will work for the canoe. Or you can get 2 extension of foam available boating supply business, such as West Marine and boaters World. It's expensive, but can be achieved better results.
