Repair canoe beyond lip - no extruded aluminum kits out there?

I have an old 17 'fiberglass canoe, it does not support borders anymore, no way to connect people. all wood rotted away, I bought a canoe former co-worker in this state. I heard from extruded aluminum frame that can be attached to the edge of the canoe, but found the place to buy. Someone Any recommendations for repair of old fiberglass canoe? I have not had much luck on the site discovered a canoe or kayak places that specialize in this (northern Virginia). Thanks!
