Does anyone know where I could get some durable wheels for canoe portage?
I need to equip their canoes with some very durable wheels for portage I did three times. Portage is two miles long, through swamps, rocks, trees and beaten. Took I portage twice with a guide, and he had his canoe equipped with wheels for portage. I am the same portage third time last summer, but without a guide, and my dad and my canoe cart that clearly was not built for the long, rough portages because buckled and broke in half. Portage is about 4 hour without wheels, so I could really use a pair that will hold up strong to the duration of the journey. I have a 17 'Old Town Fiberglass canoe, for reference.
