Located in the Tennessee Valley Lake Guntersville overlooks the 69,000-acre Guntersville Reservoir stretches 75 miles from Nickajack Dam to Guntersville Dam. Whole My lake is surrounded by public boat ramps and private ports. The lake is owned by TVA and was created in 1939 Damn.

Guntersville State Park has 6000 acres of natural forests. There is a 18-hole championship golf course, beach complex, hiking trails, and lots of swimming! You can also find cabins, camping and fishing all you could ever handle! There are 321 campsites some with and some very primitive! They have a hot shower house, grills, tables, country store and lots of places to play.

Guntersville has 3 locations North Alabama Birding Trail. This area is home to red-breasted Mergansers, Hooded Grebes, Lesser Scaup, Red-necked Grebes, Gadwalls, Common loons, oublecrested Cormorant, Bald Eagle, Osprey and D. There are many areas to look away, so do not forget bring your camera!

There are Deer, raccoons, possums, mountain lions, snakes, squirrels, mink, ducks, like other Critters around the lake! Habitat provides a perfect and a great source of water for animals. Much of the lake area was a habitat for animals and Indians until the completion Damn! TVA damn locked down soon and stagnant water covered the area!

I grew up camping at Lake Guntersville and had opportunity to watch amazing sunsets! During the summer I spent many days watching the deer and swimming! During the summer half of the is quite busy around in winter is very quiet and a great place to track deer and other wild Animals!

There is a resort lodge on Mount Taylor, and chalets with breath-taking view of Lake Guntersville and awesome fireplace! You can dine Pinecrest restaurants in the room while you stay at Resort! If you have not seen the sunset from the lake you're missing out!

There are many things to do around the area! Do you have great fishing, water skiing, canoeing, bird watching, eagle monitoring camping, or just a site to see! The lake has hosted more than 30 bass master tournaments and bringing national attention to the lake! So You want to make plans soon and see what is happening in this area!

If you get bored and want to check out more! Within 15 minutes you can be at Morgan Cove or Buck Pocket or high waterfalls! The whole area around Guntersville State Park is gorgeous and has many things to do! There Cabin Vacation Rentals and cottages across the lake and is a great place to stay year round!

Guests Lake Guntersville and see if you see a Bald Eagle! Or for some serious bass fishing in the milfoil beds hydilla or weeds! If you are a serious camper or a lover of nature Lake Guntersville is the right place for you! Just remember that in summer can get very busy and find a camping spot can be hard on the weekend!
