What is the risk of fishing at sea with an 11 foot Achilles inflatable boat with 15 hp motor?

How about this idea, I would like to buy a fishing maybe 1.5 miles offshore from the Gulf Coast. Please only experienced offshore fisherman. Well, I grew up in the Gulf and know the waters well, offshore fishing are different than regular water sports, offshore is a whole different world, I saw a video of 2 guys in an 8 foot inflatable fishing a few miles from the landing a ton kingfish, plus you do not have to worry about sinking in in inflatable boat ... thx for the advice, but you didn't help. those are pretty much unsinkable boats, salt water and I've seen little Buggers everywhere, they just float like a cork in a bathtub. the ride is rough and choppy, but you're not going into a storm are you? With normal precautions that you should just be good, GPS, enough fuel, clothing and a good kind of communications gear (portable radio). The biggest factor in the safety of any boat, regardless of size is common sense. If you not paying attention, a larger boat will give you a false sense of security and you will not be safer.
